A fun-packed day for all the family is in store for residents on Leigh's Trees estate on Saturday 19th August.
The estate's residents-led community board is holding a free-for-all 'Family Fun' day at St Paul's Primary School in Westleigh Lane from 1pm till 4.
There’ll be a carnival atmosphere courtesy of Little Branches Youth Club, and many other attractions including archery, large inflatable, face painting, a mountain bike obstacle course, the popular climbing wall, the Wigan Athletic media bus and much more.
Wigan Council's area co-ordinator, Nicola Lowe says "There’s only one place to be in Westleigh on Saturday 19th – that’s St Paul's school! There'll be lots going on for people of all ages and I'd like to thank every individual and organisation that is making this event possible."
The event is being supported by Wigan Council, Greater Manchester Fire Service, Wigan & Leigh Housing, Greater Manchester police, Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust, local tenants and residents associations, and various community groups from the area.
The Mayor of Wigan, Councillor Eunice Smethurst, will officially open the event at 1.15pm.
