Hunt for treasure at Haigh Hall

The hunt is on this Sunday (5th June) for Haigh Hall’s hidden treasure.

Students from Wigan & Leigh College have organised the mile and a half long treasure hunt through the country park as part of Wigan & Leigh Housing’s week of promotional events and activities.

The treasure hunt is open to all ages, with gift vouchers and badges up for grabs. There will also be a break half way through the walk when participants will be able to take a rest or have a go at a fun competition trying to get balls into a basket.

Four college students have played a leading part in organising the event — Vinay, Shree, Anushree and Utsav. They say:

“We think the treasure hunt will be a pleasant and fun way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday morning enjoying the beautiful Haigh Hall scenery. The treasure hunt won’t be too difficult and we have some nice prizes for the winners.”

The route is suitable for push chairs and wheel chairs, and anybody interested should make their way to the stables next to the shop at Haigh Hall at 10.15am for the 10.30am start.
