Eviction for ‘Royal’ family

A family from Leigh have been ousted from their council home following two years of anti-social behaviour and neighbour nuisance.

39 year old Deborah Lestat and her four teenage children were evicted from Royal Drive, Higher Folds, last Thursday (11th January) after Ms Lestat ignored a court order imposed in October.

“This family’s behaviour has been the cause of major upset to nearby residents and the wider community across the estate. I would like to thank those residents who, despite continuing problems, had the courage to give evidence against those who were destroying their neighbourhood.

“We are committed to taking action against those individuals whose behaviour has a detrimental effect on local communities, and who are unwilling to change their behaviour in the face of warnings and the threat of legal sanctions.”
