Council Tenants Kept Up To Date

Council tenants can keep track of all their important events and appointments next year with the Housing Matters 2004 calendar.

Distributed by Wigan & Leigh Housing to around 25,000 households, the calendar aims to keep council tenants informed of all the main events in the housing year.

The theme of the Housing Matters 2004 calendar is the “bygone borough”. It features photographs of Wigan Fair, walking day in Golborne, coal barges at Leigh, Market Street in Hindley under deep snow, Lil’s Café at Standish and much more.

Peter Gee, Chief Executive of Wigan and Leigh Housing says:

“This is our third Housing Matters calendar and the feedback that we have had from our tenants in previous years has been really positive. They have found the calendar to be both attractive and useful.

Mr Gee added:

“This year we thought we’d include some historic photographs from around the borough and I am certain that many of our tenants, young and old, will be able to recognise many of the places featured even if they can’t remember them as they were.

“The calendar also provides a way for us to remind tenants throughout the year of the services that we provide and the many ways that we can help them.”
