Flashback to Last Year’s Cleanup: Elaine Wystawnoha
is pictured with residents.
Bring out your rubbish! That’s the call to Hag Fold residents after plans for an early spring clean across the estate were drawn up.
Six large skips will be provided on Friday 18th February for people living on the estate to put out their rubbish. Then on Saturday 19th, from 7am till 10.30am a bin wagon will tour the area and collect the rubbish in the streets or from outside residents’ gates.
The bin wagon will only do one round of the estate and so all rubbish must be out by 7am.
If you are an elderly person or a person with a disability and you need help with large items, ring (01942) 892815.
Nick Burdekin, Wigan Council’s People and Places programme manager said:
“It couldn’t be easier. This is an ideal time of year to clear out your shed, clean up your garden and get rid of the old settee. Skip it, don’t dump it, and help us to help you live in a cleaner environment!”
Fridges or freezers cannot be collected on the Spring Clean Day — ring (01942) 404364 to arrange a collection.
For more details please contact neighbourhood coordinator Elaine on (01942) 892815.
