The Gathering—Call-up for Hag Fold Conference

If you care about your community then come on down!

This is the message to residents of Atherton's Hag Fold estate as the date for an annual conference aimed at shaping the future of the area draws near.

The Hag Fold Community Conference will take place on Thursday September 25th at the Dorset Road Community Centre. Now in its third year, the conference offers residents the chance to have their say on how they would like to see services developed for the future.

Since 2000 Hag Fold has benefited from an influx of government cash under the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB5 Atherton Building Communities).

The cash is aimed at improving the quality of life on the estate and the SRB team's aim is to include residents in every step of the decision-making process to shape the future of the area.

The conferences will run between 9.30am and 3.30pm and all Hag Fold residents are invited. Those attending will be given the chance to take part in a number of seminars looking at different aspects of life on the estate including health, safety and community.

All residents who have an interest in how Hag Fold develops in the future are urged to attend.

Hag Fold residents who want to find out more about the conference can call neighbourhood co-ordinator Elaine Wystawnoha on 01942 892815.
