Fun is only a (hip) hop, skip and a jump away for visitors to Leigh’s Hilton Park this week.
Wigan & Leigh Housing (WALH) is offering everyone the chance to trip the light fantastic with a special event dedicated to dance at the famous rugby ground.
Instead of the side-stepping stars of rugby league there’ll be the hot-footed stars of international dance.
The World Dance evening takes place on Thursday June 2nd from 6pm. It will include a salsa, Zimbabwean and Indian dance workshops, a hip-hop street dance class and something a bit closer to home with a clog dancing class.
Everyone is welcome and it’s not compulsory to have a go, you can just watch the fun.
WALH is presenting the event as part of the programme of community events for its week-long awareness raising week. The company is using the week to show off its services and prove its commitment to improving services and community life in the borough’s council estates.
The World Dance event will take place in the Mick Martyn Suite at Hilton Park and all the lessons are free.
